Annual TPC Board/Staff Retreat

By Eunice Holbert
Pastoral Counselor

The Board of Directors and the TPC Staff gather each year in February for a time of fellowship and organizational work.  The one day Retreat takes place in Cary at the home of staff member Barbara Mann.

The Staff shares with Board members a presentation which demonstrates the work of Pastoral Counseling.

Teams meet to formulate goals and action plans for the next year in the areas of Development, Operations, Enrichment and Marketing.  Both Staff and Board Members highly value this opportunity to get to know each other and to work together to implement the mission of TPC.

The Silent Samaritan Fund

This fund is for women who seek counseling at Triangle Pastoral Counseling who are unable to pay our standard fee and have no insurance--or limited insurance coverage for mental health benefits:

  •   A divorced young woman with children and minimal income
  •   A single woman with no financial resources

We at TPC are committed to serving these populations with their special financial needs. This past year alone we provided over $95,000 and 1200 hours of counseling to persons who could not pay what it costs us to provide such ministry.

Churches and interested individuals have supported TPC with contributions over the past 32 years. Last year’s contributions totaled just over $33,000 from all sources. This year our goal is to expand these resources. The Silent Samaritan Fund is one attempt to address these needs.  Contributions also allow us to offer a sliding fee scale which is based on a person's income.

We invite you to join us in our continuing effort to better serve the members of all faith communities in this area. Please mail all contributions to:
